I collect coins mainly Aussie ones - but would love an american silver dollar, I am watching them on ebay but wanna know if they are considered rare?

NO American Silver Dollar is in circulation... circulation means that when a bank gets one they will put it back out to the public. The LAST US silver dollar in circulation was the Peace Dollar of 1921-35. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_Dollar.

The RARITY of a silver dollar would depend on the YEAR.

Both dates are quite common and dealers pay around .30 in low circulated grades to a $1 or so in higher circulated grades. It would be best to keep them for now. As time goes by they will go up in value.
